Biodigesters offer the latest technology in water treatment by treating waste streams with active microbes. The same technology applied to cleaning up massive oil spills is now available for industrial waste streams.
Process
Waste water is introduced into the first chamber of the biodigester. Each biodigester contains between 1,200 and 6,000 square feet of media hive material on which the microbes live and thrive. The system aerates these hives and continuously recirculates the water through them, allowing the microbes to fully digest hydrocarbons and organic materials. Fresh microbes are introduced every day in small doses to ensure a robust population. An on-board pressurization system allows for treated water to be discharged or re-used.
Options
Industrial Biodigesters are available in poly, marine grade aluminum or stainless steel and can be ozonated to kill water borne pathogens.
